Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

I think it would be alot easier on you if you just referenced the toy instead of the theatrical version. But anyway, the work looks first rate so far.

Ok....it's quite hard to pick points with the ref image over on page 1 of the thread.....have to keep clicking back and forth to see. The first thing that I thought I found....and it didnt jump out at me - had too look for it....might be an annoying thing to fix....but from the look of the ref image on page 1, the chest/torso area is a little wider? It seems to be more chunky width wise...I've put a red arrow where I mean....

Edit: or is it? I think that the bumblebee in the first post of this thread has more of a 'chunkyness' to it, which I would aim for in modeling what remains to be modeled...??

Hey thanks for pointing that out ill fix that when Im doing the arms I have the day off tomorrow so I should have significant updates then......today I just worked on the legs

much appreciated guys finished the legs and Im off to the arms also doing some concepts on the final Image Im thinking of placing him in a fully cg scene a kids room ofcourse instead of just a studio render as I had planned earlier

Almost Done with this just to add little bits and pieces then Ill move on to modell the scene uv map then texture and start lighting this

Yeah there is a Tonne of stuff that wont be seen in the render but hell it was a great modelling challenge

So here is my update Thank God for the extended deadline It still needs alot of work as Im working on his specularity map and also dont like the reflections on his feet also doing some research on depth of field so here is todays upade
