This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Maya 6.5 UV extracting...

I could do with learning how to extract some UV's from my models so I can take them to PS CS and do some texturing work..

Anyone no of a uv tut??

LOL yeah ok fair enough...

BUT...

Going through a thousand and one sites that google spat out at me for searching for maya uv tuts, didn't seem all that appealing you know?

I was kinda hoping for someone to reply that had been after the same sort of thing as me and found a decent one...

I find Mike McKinleys book Maya for Game Artist to have a pretty good chapter on UV editing. If you can find it, look through it and see if it suits you, then buy it.

well one of the best ways to learn is to read tutorials. if ur not willing to do some searching and reading then ull not get much done.

Who said anything about not willing to read tutorials?

Thats what the original question/thread asked for, links to tutorials on a sepcific topic..

You don't get much more specific when looking for learnign material than that..
