Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Poly's to SubD's

Hello guys.

I am at the moment doing the oliphant modeling tutorial by Kurt, wich by the way is awesome, and i'm currently doing the details on the face, at this section(s) he switches alot from polys to subDs and vice versa. And now i wonder: is it the same to change between polys and subds as it is to use polygon proxy mode in subds??

I also wonder what different ways there are to make a character talk, i know you can do it by binding sceletons but i've seen/heard people talk about some other technique to do this, wich is it??
