right click on 'rgb PP' and add a ramp, them right click again and edit ramp, i left it (the ramp) at default and didnt worry about opacity (another PP attribute), i should have but i forgot until now, looks prettier
select the copy and then the original and then go to 'deform/ blendshape' and watch for the result in the commnd line, 'blendshape 1' go to the 'windows' and animation editors/ 'blend shape.' and up pops the blend shape editor and when you push and pull at the lever the original curve changes, now yo can delete the copy.
despite a 360 degree rotate in X the blend influences it around 400 and it turns back, (i didn't plan it it was just thrown together) and came out like this
