I'm surely joining this one, The movie made me speechless.

but i just wanted to ask a question about the avatars, and i hope someone knows it.

when you look at an avatar body and face they seems to have this some sort of white dots all around them and it seems like its glowing. just out of curiosity, are they specular maps?

@Lion`I -Don't know for sure but I'd bet there's probably a dozen or so different maps that all subtly combine to create the skin and glowy dots. Too much bioluminescence in that movie, but that's beside the point. I think I'll create an Avatar rave/rant post eventually.

I will be as soon as i get a ps3...
I havent bought a blue ray player, sicne i know i am going to buy a ps3 anyway, and they have built in blu ray with them sono reason to use both..
My computer monitor / computer, doubles for my home entertainment system in the bedroom.. have 5.1 surround hooked up to the toshiba....run all my music and everythign, games all of it through the tv and out the surround on computer, or games alike..
and...
Dude, i cannot wait to get the other one, so that i have daul 32 inch monitors at 1080p, 64 inches of desktop space at my command....at 1080p resolution...omg.it will be beyond amazing.
I'm actually modeling in maya the design i want to use in my room...once i get the layout complete i'll post it on here..
i'm not doing anythgin pretty just using Basic cubes to the correct deminsions to see how it will look and what all i'll need.
