Best settings for a occlusion pass (maya 2011)

Hey all, Im abit rusty with maya's occlusion pass settings. What options do i need to change/check to get the best possible render. Ive messed around with the settings but the quality doesnt seem to get any better only the render time changes.

Thanks.

If you're talking about it being grainy looking, you can increase the out color samples. More samples will result in smoother look but at the cost of render time.
