Smooth/Harden Edges error

I get a syntax error when I set the Normals->Harden/Soften tool to 180 all soft (I wanted to see what it would do). Does this mean that there is some problem with my model?

Can't know for sure without seeing it, but you probably don't have the correct component type selected. It works with edges or just by having the entire object selected in object mode.
