Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hmm maybe try some of the tutorials on this page, there are both free and some more comprehensive (is that how you spell it?) tutorials here.

You could watch the tutorial videos that come with Maya as well as look through the help files.

the maya 7 book by alias ..with the robot is really good . It helps you get the basics down

i really suggest the tutorials on this sight. i have the book but it is alot clearer when you see someone doing it and learning from that when you have issues, in my opinion ...

or do both ...then you have a grip on the basics and can go from there
