Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I was thinking today was the last day of the comp, but realized I was wrong when I didn't see any finals being posted. I'll join the competition.

I am loving this challenge! Sod not having any prizes, would be nice but not really important, it's just so fun to be given a project to do without having to think of one myself.
I just wish a few more people were taking part, hopefully there will be some more late comers like myself. Good luck to all that are in it!

Hi mtmckinly, loving this challenge, i'm relly learning a lot from doing it and getting to meet some cool people! Just a quick question, when we submit our final pieces, what file size etc will we be able to upload, and will there be any specific criteria, ie: one main pic, or one main and a couple of close ups.... Either way I'm just glad to be part of it, keep up the great work you're all doing at the site!

Just a quick question, do we post our final pieces in our own thread, or will there be a separate thread for them?

I don`t know if its got anything to do with how bad the the british economy is but how come 3/4 entries so far are from the uk hehe.

Just had another idea for the next one - "famous vehicle" - basically any car, bus, van, tank, space ship from a tv show or film.

That's a really cool idea for a challenge Tweetytunes, I'd be up for that one, lot's of options to choose from, and more people would probably enter as vehicles seem to be very popular with modelers on these forums. I hope that idea get's taken up for the next one. Good call!

That's a great idea. It's so vast and open you could model anything. My head is buzzing with ideas
