Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

April Challenge_Lo PolyCharacter_s2-speedy

I'm in! I know i created a thread for the last challenge and failed to even finish a model due to not having enough time. But im deffinetly joining this one.

The character I have chosen isnt really a main character so you might not know her. She (viola) is from the first person shooter game - timesplitters 2 on the ps2. Now I dont know alot about her having only played the game briefly but i remember loving the artwork and the characters in this game so I picked her out.

I will put my own spin on her I think, Ill make her more of a real person but still low poly for a game character but maybe less cartoonier than the pic suggests. I may also change the colours of her clothes and add a few things as i go. Anyway here is the artwork. user added image

I still got it on the gamecube - although I liked number one more - and still hoping the rumores of the 3rd are still alive - even though free rad are dead and gone the rights have been passed on and alot of work had been done on it.

But great character - great mind think alike on making and classic character more real.

Nice one!!
I haven't seen that character in ages. I played all the timesplitters games. I think the last is Future Perfect....correct me if I am wrong....I had some long nights playing that game with my crew back then. It holds an attractive art stlye, insane cast of characters and tons of variety in the multiplayer department.

and by the way.......death to all who played as the monkey.........kiddinguser added image

Yeah Id like to see a 4th too tweety.

Ive finally made a start, glad to have shaped the head out, its been a while since ive done a full head - still will tweak here and there but im generally happy with it so far. I know her mouth and nose is covered in the concept but i thought id make it anyway, and if i need more polys I can delete what's hidden.
