ok, here is one from the side, been updated

1. the butt of the rifle has been remodelled(more smooth)

2. The sight has now been made much more realistic.

3. Main gun part has been more completely modelled...

C&C welcome.

nvm, i found a different way to do it.

Yeah, the smooth button was screwing up my UV's though. So i had to manually go in and use the Poly Cut tool.
Im not really sure if I should have the butt of the gun smooth or blocky, because its wooden.
Heres the wire

If the Poly smooth is screwing up UV's you have to check the "Keep UV Border" option.

Looks good though.

ouch, 4 people said on the poll "No, Go get a job."

I meant that as kind of a joke...

Well...I don't want to be rude, but it doesn't look very well. First of all try to finish your model before texturing it. Second, get yourself _very_ good references (google,...). Third, do easy things to improve your skills and increase them step by step. If you haven't done them yet, do the Maya Tutorials which are enclosed with the software. Try to keep your mesh as clean as possible. In my opinion you shouldn't do an AK-47 if you're new to Maya. I hope I didn't discouraged you too much. I'm sure with some practise in the basic skills you will post another AK-47 in circa two months which is much better. And the one after, is even better and so on...

Keep it up.

My vote would be no, but not in the way you said on your poll lol.

Like everyone else said, use refs, make edgeflows good, keep 4 sided polys, finish model before you texture it.
