really cool idea someguy - i was thinking of something similar for my spaceship - still think that the asteroid could do with being a bit more wonky and asteroidy looking - but really loving the designs so far....

Not quite sure what you mean by sprites.
Ive spent time today working on the shaders and stuff. I'm rendering a turntable at the moment but here is a shot showing off the ring. I am happy with the way it is looking.

Still working on shaders and lighting. I'm not sure what else to add to this other than a planet or some gas or something.
Ill work it out.

Really liking the changes you've made, and the render quality (the still image) is looking excellent!
