Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

I am just starting to use Maya and this is my 3rd time toying with it. How would I go about making 3D Text? Please Help me.

That will give you the curves. Then select each curve and run Surfaces>Bevel Plus to make the letters 3D objects.

Okay, I do this, but the holes inside the letters are not showing...How do I go about making the holes that belong in the letters to show?

select both of the curves for that letter before you run the bevel plus. Sometimes you have to reverse the direction of one or both of the curves to get it to come out right.

Make sure to select the inner curve first and then the outer one, then bevel.
