Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

to clarify, the pen tool will create points like the EP and CV curve tool in Maya (i forget which one its more like)...


Its more like the EP curve tool (which I personally don't like xP ).

ive never seen it before.., but i know the site is attacked occasionally.?? someone with a problem.., needs help..?? could more easily just ask eh??

you know, on another forum, of bigshots.., and they are but most are pretty humble i just got attacked.., sort of picked on because i never worked in the biggest cGI houses here (judging by the hours i wouldnt want to at my age).., it feels really.., i dont know.., horrible and not necessary.

Dubai3d, You may want to try Macromedia Flash (MX) for this. I use it all of the time for doing Bumps and shapes etc. Because it's vector-based, everything can be easily modified. I have even used it for just drawings, because it is so modifyable.

Any version of Flash, even old ones, will do.

Then it can be exported as an image user added image For filling in photoshop or whatever

yes you are right, flash is excellent for this kind of stuff,

It is the best way to draw line and vectors, it is really good way/long way , I'll try. thanks for reminding me this tips,

i might have missed something, but Illustrator plugs right into maya.., and illustrator is vector too?? you can even change the model in the viewport (maya) from editing it in Illustrator.., you can find the rave in one of digi tutors free tuts.
