The bottom two rows are actually like that in the reference. The upper row I made higher though but only cuz I thought it looked a little odd lower down. I also made a few changes from the reference for the purpose of speeding up the modeling. I have alot to model in a short amount of time so trying to cut corners where I can. I'll go ahead and post the reference I used for this last one.

Here's the ref. I think I will lower the top row down. It might have just been the camera settings that made it look odd.

hehe, it's cool mate. I'm allowing myself 4 hours to model each column so I'm kind of rushing through them. If I end up with extra time at the end of this project I'm working on, I'll actually go back and start putting more detail and tweaking and such.

Yeah, I thought the leaves were a bit thin too. What era is the ref from? If it's 2000 years old or something, I'd have bet they'd all be broken off. But sweet looking models. Can't wait to see the whole temple.

I concur...with my hand on my heart I HATE IT!!!! TOO...there I have supported your 'venting of said spleen'.

Though later version Maya makes it easier???

It is soul destroying..my Spitfire (now I know I was looking at it like a bloody Surveyor) shattered me. I was (and still think sometimes) on giving Maya up. There are too may people way better than me...then I see Im not alone.

Carry on good sir...you will overcome..and besides I cant friggin wait to see this stuff textured!!!!

cheers bullet

Edit: on the bright side...you can have my current project..inner city estate!!! lots of modelling underground services..road models etc etc etc...come and join me!
