This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

blend shapes

I started watching the low poly animation tutorial (the first video) and noticed how the head is detached from the rest of the body to do the blend shapes. Can it be done with the full body? So if i have a full body I would have to cut the head off to do blend shapes for the head? I am guessing its a performance issue or something.

Thanks,

IF you have a full body you will have to make your blends full body as well.. I think their might be way around it but cant think of it ATM.

Its best to detach the head for this type of work for sure...

For example Sculpting 30 facial expressions with the body intact is a bit much (LOL) Keep it light...
