iMac

yet another work in progress. This one is for school, part of a new huge project.
I'm in charge of building the office, so here is a shiny new imac.... well parts of it anyways.
More to come. And sorry for such a long image.
I think its worth ituser added image
and can change it if required.

take a look at bevelling those edges... makes the model look more realistic, since nothing in life has a perfect sharp edge. it also helps pick up a specular highlight that helps.

Well it's done!
I spent a while trying to get my apple logo transparent around the apple and finally got everything looking great. Or so I think.
Comments and crits are always appreciated.
Thanks again neostrider for the comment. I was in the process of bevels but was having some geometry issues. I seem to have fixed them thoughuser added image

You need to fix the black stuff around it, the corners are too round, the Apple in the front is way too big, the Apple on the back isn't supposed to be white, the mouse looks… let's just say it doesn't look like a Mighty Mouse, and there should be a little slit on the top (in the back).

Check this link for more references:

Can't wait to see this with some more improvements done. user added image

@ Jr. Who - Thanks for the thorough comment and breakdown. It is much appreciated. At this exact moment I have reduced the size of the logo on the front. And adjusted some of the texture colours. As for the shape of the screen itself, that will stay as is until I get a chance to re-do it. It is being used for part of a project and not too much time will be spent looking at it.
This is simply the beginning of what will be used for demo-reel and portfolio. I will take what you've said into consideration and will be making updates and improvements in the next little while.

As for the mouse, I realize that is not a mighty mouse. I haven't had any decent reference or even a good look at a mighty mouse, so I just built something up to make it feel like it could be used.
That will also be added in the future, along with detail added to the usb portsuser added image

Cheers, and thanks again!

Hmm… I'll try to do it tomorrow, so there's more natural sunlight in the pic. Can you PM me your email address? Do you want a top and side reference?
