This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Walking into this thread was a horrible nightmare, no offense, I work at Fujitsu building self checkout machines haha. I almost jumped when I opened this.

The model looks good though for 20 minutes, keep up the good work.

hey rhetoric, since you work with these things could you post a close up pic of the part where the belt goes into the rest of the machine?

they get shipped out separate with the belted unit, and the styles we make are completely different than the one you're making. Usually the belt is one piece that spins with a motor, that is housed in it's own casing. Then the machine with the scanner, monitor, computer, cash acceptor and dispensor then they just get bolted together.

We don't make many with the belted units, I'm the only guy that builds them and I'd say I've built maybe 20 at the most in about a years time.

The ones we build all the time look like these
