Animating an alien character

I've got an alien type character in a backyard scene and I'm having real problems animating it. I'm using keyframes, but whenever I move certain sections of the character, the whole shit just becomes deformed. I just need to make the alien walk to the end of the path he's crouching on..Can anyone take a look and offer me some insight?

Here's the file:

Peace!
