Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I don't know too much about this (haven't done much experimenting in this area yet), but why not try attaching a smoke emitter to your rocket, then messing around with it? Or have you done so already? Please adivse.

Reply (missile trail)

Hey,

Do you mean an hardware rendering smoke? Because i have a problem with harware rendering. I also posted a message for it and people say that it's because my computer graphics are too low...
But they also told me that there are ways to make a missile trail with software rendering.

If you are not talking about an hardware smoke then remind me that i have to take a look to the maya book a little more user added image

Thank you in advance for your interest.

I moved this thread to the correct forum.

lso, to get a nice missle trail, you can use SW particle cloud render type for a missle trail.

Also, you can use paint fx to do this, as well as fluidsuser added image

it is up to you.

What are you looking for exactly?

yeah what ragecgi just said..

my recommendation is to use particle clouds for this, and just keep the spread relatively small.
