Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Transfering UV unwrap to a different character.

Hey folks,
Goodmorning

I've got an question.
Is it possible to export an uv unwrap to the same character, but on another filename?
example.

I've got a character unwrap in file. A but the character is also visible in file. B but not unwrapped.
So I want to export/import the unwrap from file A to B.
I hope this is possible or else I need to unwrap it again user added image.

Cheers Mark.

If the topology is the same it usually helps.

But yes you can. Select the one with the uv and then shift select the one you want uvs to transfer to, then go to mesh>transfer attributes - menu box . then once open check the Component button and apply

this should do it.

then delete history

cheers
Jay
