how long have you been working with maya

I was just wondering how long everyone has been working with maya? I've seen some great work on this site and have been wondering how long it takes to learn how to do that. Animation, etc really interest me. I just started to get into maya and its hard but fun! >.>

If you don't count the days that I haven't used Maya, I'd say 3 months user added image

I have been working with Maya for three months as well. Though I just started my 3D classes at school, Art Institute of Atlanta at the moment.

5 years -- is that counting the time you're not on the keyboard? Or strictly 43800 hours logged? :p

Technically i started in 2002, a few months before i joined here but eventually stopped using it so i'd say around 1-2 years. Gonna have to pick it up again.
