Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

what resolution to use?

I want to use a render of a map I've created up to A2 size - does that mean when I create my polygon plane (to put the texture on) I use the dimensions of A2 300Dpi which would be 4961 pxl by 7016pxl or (hopefully) do I create a smaller plane and then render it back out from maya at a higher res? Also what dpi should my texture be to start with i'm using 72dpi tiff at the moment.
