Start of a Mech....this is my first post here

Ok so Im new too this forum and I was hoping for some C&C on my latest WIP... I decided to test my skills on a Mech... this is waht i have so far please tell me what you think.. oh and i am still very new to 3d so any pointers would be great

wow this is looking like it is going to be stunning. Hell of a lot of detail going on in there. Would love to see this thing stomping around.

looks absolutely amazing. is there a template or blueprint you're working from? i don't think i'd be able to go into this much detail just from inside my head...

perhaps a closeup of the places you mentioned (wing, hand, foot, head) so we can get a better idea of your progress?

and also any way we can see a wireframe?

sure i can do that for you ... um but no there is no templete im working from all i did was just draw out a basic couple shapes in a side view that I was looking for ... like general angles... then just went from there

but yea i will get that wire frame for you...

i really like the armored core series. id say that maybe a little gundam though... always got to have some gundam refrence XD

Maybe you can do a clay render to show your details better.
Very cool mech though.

I guess I'll summarize then.
Create a plane for yer mech 2 stand on and suround him with a resized sphere like you would HDRI or somethin like that. Make everything lambert and a light color like grey or white.

Go to render settings, then Image Based Lighting and click create. Attach yer HDR image to the light node and voila.
