How to select and remove double polygons

Hi,

I have imported a file from a CAD system and unfortunately it has on nearly (not all) every polygon a second one with a reversed normal. When I render it I get these Z-buffer related glitches. I tried to combine them and merged vertices with a small value but had no luck.

Can anybody help me with selecting and removing these superflues polygons?
I think it is pretty easy... but don't know how to do that! *arrgh* user added image

Thanks!

to be honest with you I'm not sure it's as easy as you think. You could script it to go through and find the reversed poly and delete it but I think it could be a real pain in the arse. How complicated is the mesh? Could you reexport it from CAD making sure that the model isn't screwed in the first place?
