Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

modify at ur own risk... although it's quit safe and tested... but just read and be sure u understand what's happening there. user added image

That Radeon 9200 SE card works just fine on my computer with Maya but it's still slow running . Not sure how to optimize it for Maya. Any ideas?
