Quick midweek update. Nearly done with all the symmetric work on the wing. Just the cut for the undercarriage and then I can mirror.

Painfully slow but I think Im getting better at UVing and faster(snails pace)...LOL......dave

no no my friends...(tee heee)...LOL. Im kidding mate...I HATE UV mapping...painful stuff...I have learnt a wee bit doing buildings for the game dev Im working on...lots and LOTS of UV..sigh. BUT I have learnt to shorten the work load by applying UV attributes to identical objects, that way you only have to map once. Like your wings, do the left main and rear left tail and apply those UV to the right...only have to do it once user added image same with the wheels, landing gear etc...as long as the geo is identical...transfer the mapped to the unmapped.

LOL....i know. uvs are like house chores. a pain but something that has to be done.
i'll be duplicating attributes as i have quite a few identical objects (all those wonderful latches).

Made some good progress on the landing gear. Just a few odds left (tread, brake lines, retractor arm) then I can scale it and import it into the main scene. That will give me an idea as to how to position the internal panels in the landing gear bay.

Thanks. Quick question. Which one of the tutorials can give me an into into rigging (I think)? When fitting the landing gear assembly into the main scene I'll most probably will have to adjust the distance that the shock is protruding. I can do it manually but there is a fair amount of pieces that has to move and pivot in unison.
