Program Switch Time

I've been working on Rhino for about 6 months now, and im bored of it, plus it doesn't really carry the capacity maya can. So, I have decided to switch. I've been using Maya to render all my stuff for about a month now, so the interface is somewhat ghosty, but I was wondering if anybody has made this transition, and if so how long it takes. Also, how long did it take you to go from complete n00b to where you are now? thanks guys........just consider this.....a poll of sorts.....

i think it's safe to say most ppl here started with maya.
but rhyno's tools are somewhat similar to maya's.
i think maya has the most comprehensive interface, it just takes a little getting used to. for the basic stuff i'd suggest reading the online docs that came with maya, it really helped me; but you can post any Qs u might have here on SM.

That would be... half a year for me, and one month for a normal person to get to my level of expertise :p

Each transition has its faults for tools you wish the other apps had, too bad you couldnt merge all the best of each program into one.

But i am failry new to maya and already able to do a great deal in my opinion. The best way is to have help, this section and the new chat feature at the top of the page should help with that.
