Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

yeah why? I have a fine art background and i like computers... i figure 3D is maybe 30% buttons and 60% creativity.... perhaps more

Cheers Arran, yeah, i'm gonna work on the body soon... I had a total nightmare over Christmas and have lost all of my files and backups. I have another backup but wont be able to get it for a week or two.
I've got another project to be getting on with tho user added image

man you never believe anyone's first project is their first even if it is.
seriously dude, it's not like you can't make a good looking thing in a few weeks,
take a look back at the 3 way challenge joopson, mayaniac and me did, i did that picture in 5 days, and it was my first organic model
it all comes down to the motivation and time

Why? Its too good!
although if you compare my first model to some of my later one its alot better (and now i could solve all the problems with it easily)
its kirts dragon (well the head anyway): https://forum.simplymaya.com/showthre...ghlight=dragon
I excpected to get it to look exactly like kirts and it was in the middle of the holidays so i had so much time to tweak it so even though its my first model i think its my best (it has problems but aesthetically i think its great). Although sadly i didnt have history turned on and then saved it after smoothing which meant i never got to uv mapping it

I want to try and model a hyper/photo- realistic model yet i just dont have the time, and the immediate future doesnt look good for time either (exams user added image )
I also have no idea what to model, i find myself just modelling elephants

I may try hard surface modelling....

BTW I love your pug

Oh, and i really have to stop making threads about me.....
