Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Maybe what they are trying to say is, you have to attach image to image plane of your camera, let say front and side.

How to do that?.

From your front view panel, use view>image plane>import image

from the folder selection choose your front view of the car.

From your side view panel, use view>image plane>import image

from the folder selection choose your side view of the car.

There are 2 method of attachment, usually for orthographic camera, maya will use fixed and attached to camera for perspective camera.

Happy modeling,user added image
