Auto playback annoyance

I don't know how this ot turned on, and have even less idea how to turn it off.

Whenever I'm trying to scrub through my animation, Maya takes over and starts playing back the whole sequence from the beginning. Anyonje know how this got turned on, and more importantly how to make it stop?

Do you happen to have dynamics in your scene that might require a runup from the beginning when you scrub the timeline? If that's the case then the only thing I can think of is that you have to create cache for the dynamics...
