Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

The glare on the headlight is weird! Wheres the backlight brid? I don't see that nice 3 point-rim you get on the edge of the objects. Does look better tho.

Twisted show us more, more detail, more views all that. I feel like i can't see enough of it.

Actually Vec, there is a back/rim light. Maybe its just not bright enough. Ill play around with it alittle more, see what I get. user added image Twisted, you should make some front and rear wheel wells. That way, you cant see under the car from the wheels. ....That didnt really sound right, but still. Make some wheel wells user added image

Brid, you can make that backlight pretty bright, like near as bright as the key, you alredy have alot of ambient light in that scene, so if i had any more lighting crits it would be to bring down the fill light/s to add more contrast.

Twisted you're render looks a bit blurry. Also, would you like some help with the wheel hub, and rims?

yeah i could use some help. I just threw what i could thre. now im fooling around trying to get the renders to come out okay. its really not doing what ide like it to..

Well.. i think its was blurry because i upped the light intensity so you could see the black of the car. although i may just change the car color, but i was hoping for darker, because darker does tend to hid little problems that i dont want people to see..

I just finally figured out how to add another light to the scene.. ... but i dont know how to make it work like it should...

I have another shot ill load up next post.

Those renders look much more crisp, don't know why the other was blurry. I'd love to help with you're hubcaps, but i'm not sure how. I could find some pics online to give you ideas, or if you already had an idea, i could help you get it created. Let me know.
