Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Nice Work M8!! user added image

Animation is good, sound works well also!

Couple of thoughts as suggestions only... I feel its a little long (50+ seconds) where as a standard promo should be not longer than 30 secs. This can be done quite easily by simply speeding up the final render in your NLE. Maybe try to make the same thing as a 30 sec vid and compair the difference??

2nd is music. Are you planing to add any?

Just my opionion.... Your vid is still very impressive

thanks for all the lovely comments guys,

@tiddles yes I know it is a little long but I don't think it is bad in a way that you get bored. I might cut a few seconds were the film strip speeds up. Because not much is happening there. But I kinda like the pace of it as it is. About music I would have liked to put something subtle and dreamy at the end when all the letters start to bounce. Unfortuanately I am neither a sound engenier nor have the money to buy the rights for what I'd like. So no there will be no sound.
What does NLE stand for?

cheers

Nice idea and animation you have there user added image

I think the speed is fine from when the filmstrip is overlayed but up till then it all seems a bit slow. I was looking around for other things to happen up till then.

Examples of bTraffic - a traffic animation tool for Maya
bFlocking - a tool for Maya 8.5+ to generate flocking and swarming behaviours
