As far as the comic relief goes, you have to admit it was much much better done than the Star wars Episode 2 comic relief, they had some really cheazy lines, at least the comic relief didn't have any cheezy lines.

I personally thought that this movie was just simply incredible....even the comic relief. The only problem i had was logolas (elf) surfing on a shield and killing people. It just felt out of place, seemed like i was whatching XXX (Vin Diesel Movie) for a second. Just my thoughts.

I reckon it was a must see twice film as so much was going on. The only real crap bits for me were the Treebeard ones where Merry and Pippin looked like cut-outs with the scenery in the background badly matching with the characters in the foreground.

Gollum was absolutely incredible. The characters actually interacted with him a lot. Jar, Jar in star wars was nowhere near as good or as cleverly done.

The Massive engine was awesome too. Helms Deep was one of the best battle scenes ever!

I agree about Legolas and the shield skater bit though - that bit was stupid.

What a great advert for Maya and Shake Massive!!

Yep I see it mate..

heres my prob .. and before you all shout at me - hear me out user added image

Right on the good side:

1. Creatures where awesome (well most)
2. Animation was spot on (well most again)
3. Scenery was awesome!!!!!!
4. The chick was nice looking!
5. Some parts of the film where very well done
6. Gollum was fantastic (but see below)

Bad points:

1. That dam tree scene where them 2 dudes where carried about aimlessley was sooo boring, simply no need for it - that scene could of been done in 3 mins - plus the trees looked crap - and what the hell did they do? I reakon I could have cut and pasted in photoshop more realistic then that!! - Pippin looked at times like he was floating in mid air.

2. The "whole" film was so drawn out. I was nearly alseep aside the main action scenes.

3. The main wizard guy just "reappearing" was crazy! In stead of drawing out the tree scene so much they maybe should of done something with this part to make it more believable.

4. 10 thousand bad guys break through the gates and still cant defeat 80 people!!

5. Did they steal gollum from else where as I swear I have seen it user added image

plus other points that I wont mention user added image

----------------------------------------------------------

I guess in a nut shell - I just dont like these drawn out films, I like it over in 90 mins user added image

I just think this film should have been over in 90 mins, just dragged out.. but yep I guess its just me as everyone else seemed to enjoy it.
