My name is Traveler of Worlds and i am a new user to Maya and well i have no idea what i am doing so i was wondering if someone could direct me to some free walkthroughs on the program?

if ya got a fast internet you can watch a hell load of free tutorials online at digitaltutors.com

if you scroll down a little you will see a box that says maya tutorials >>. on the left side you will see differents sections of tutorials, like such.

there are about 5 pages of free tutorials on modeling.btw you can also buy training dvds there (digital tutors).

there is also metic.net. but there are only 3 maya videos, which sucks..

Ok i have another question, i have the personal learning edition of Maya and i;m wondering is it possible to get rid of the tex that appeares when you hit 4 on keyboard and go out of the wirefram mod becuse it makes the program very laggy.

Yes you can get rid of the text . . all you have to do is buy Maya.
