great progress arran, its got that slightly dingy grubby look that places get after many years of use user added image
At the minute the only thing that looks out is the sofa, maybe it needs more work on the textures/materials
The radio came out especially well on those previous renders btw

Keep it up!
Simon

Edit: The paper on the wall looks a bit chunky at the minute too. So does those on the desk but I'm guessing they are like laminated bits of card or something.

lealar - thanks - the notebook looks good, but where's the screen?user added image you only need to convert to polygons if you still have more work to do and feel that you can do it better / easier using polygons. it looks fine at the moment - so i would leave it as it is. i envy your nurbs skills. I am always worried that my nurbs models will fall apart.

louis56 - thanks mate! much appreciated.

simon - cheers! yeah, you're right the chair still needs a bit of work - maybe up the contrast on the wear and i'd still like to get a zigzag pattern going on, but i haven't figured it out yet. the paper on the wall is a single plane, so not sure why it would look chunky. the ones on the desk are quickly placed - there's more stuff, folders, etc, to go there, but i've been having some flickering problems when i align them to the desk, so they're raised a touch. will have a look at your project a little later today when i'm back home - looking forward to seeing your latest motorway traffic update!

ok , i'm blabbering. just finished a night shift. need some sleep. user added image thaks again!

Great, thanks - was going to model a phone and had resigned on a cordless model. Think I'll make one with a cord now, might even try and make it dynamic.

thanks again,

gubar
