Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Nice scene... but can that stone building doesn't look that convincing... stone is usually built up like bricks and the giant lintel is resting on walls/supports that look too thin to keep it up. Other than that, its a cool scene.

C. P. U. Its not a big processor... Its a series of pipes!

I like it, my only crit is that the texture on the portal rocks is a little too repetitive and is noticeable. In my opinion if you get the rocks right this would be near photoreal.
Great job well done .

I agree about the stone texture, there are some parts where it looks repetitive.Maybe because i used the same texture but with different uv projections.Again thanks for the comments user added image

yeah like the others said the stone texture, and giant rock resting on the little ones needs to be changed, how I don't know.

How did you go about making the background, all the trees, and grass, are those just paint FX?

Nice work SlipKnot66! It's one of the better Mental Ray renders I've seen that are going for the photo realistic look.
