Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Weyu - Winter challange

I'm not a huge fan of sports but there is one that catches my eye, jousting, old but popular.

I've seen a jousting reanactment in Visby Sweden once so perhaps I can get some inspiration from that event.

I will start with making the knights, then I will have to plan if I should have an audience or not (Im not to keen on making 100 unique characters.) user added image

Lol, I think you can do with 25, and they don't have to bee unique... just some transformations, scaling and most importantly a bit different textures, and you have a whole different character...

But still, texturing is not my favourite part of the 3dworld, I rather model ten peasents then texture one. user added image

Hi Weyu - I would be very impressed if you put the jousters on horses. I don't think I could do that.
I share your position on texturing. I'm new to modelling and have no clue of the train that is coming straight at me when I'm going to texture my models. Anyway, we'll see - good luck !

Hehe yeah I might to jousting with swords, but it would be a fun experience to make horses tho.

Well here is the first wip pic, have in mind that there is no real textures applied, the helm and tabard will probably be totaly remade. And most parts are heavily wip but hints on how I should procced is always encouraged. user added image

I am resigning from the competition.

Sadly I have to much work on my hands and during the free time I have to fit in time with my friends and christmas preperations. So sadly I wont continue.

But you're free to crit and comment anyway as I will probably use this when signing in for a 3d school in Sweden.
