10 Hours- and I have to say that it is unbiased. I see no noise at all.

hmmm. yeah- might be a waste rendering a 10 second clip- that's about 2400+ hours? 100 days user added image

Plus- you can't tell Indigo to render a certain amount of time. It just keeps on going and going and going until you stop it.

But I managed to get the 3ds Max plugin working, so I can start rendering from there.

These renderers are more for stills to save time tweaking the render setting.. offcourse with an animation it is really worthwile tweaking the settings

yeah- but these make sure that your results are completly accurate on top of that. But mostly the tweaking. Tweaking manualy versus waiting a long time.

Ill take waiting a long time ANY day.

indigo test v0.5 is out

It is MUCH faster- and BiDirectional Path tracing on top of MLT is purely awesome!

Look at this- 10 minutes, no post process in Indigo v0.5 (this is not my result, but someone on the #Flipcode forums for Indigo).

Interested now?

no.

matt, i m not sure if you are excited cuz its free [mental ray is also free :p], or its unbiased renderer, but i think i can get better result than that pic in under 30sec in MR. :p

but its and interesting peice of software from what ive seen. i havent actually used it. but it sounds like the developer is making it purely as a hobby,. it would have more potential, if setting it up was easier. and thats the only way he could possibly even think about competing with maxwell, by making it a one-two punch to set up scenes for rendering.

Ah well.

My interior WIP will be in Mental Ray. Simply too long to render on Indigo...
