This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

ok,
in my boredom i found this image of an old idea thought
couldn't be bothered doing it back then so i think it'll fit nicely here
so il try it
main aim is to get the peice so you can sense the emotion in the man with the smile

and yes, hundreds of hours were spent on the drawing

just begining
body is from the old one coverd by orange and the lense is from a new pentax
any thoughts appreciated

looks cool. I'm intrested in what can be doen with that with textures on it.
Looks like you modeled most of the majer detail, thats cool.

Your getting good with the non-organic's

yeh i like non organic stuff just takes a while sometimes:
well the camera is pretty muched finished for now till all the other stuff is modelled then ill texture at the same time:

Looking good. Is there a lense in there ? could be transparent and with out other things on for rendering wouldn't see it.. why I ask. Thats the only thing missing I can think of. Looking forward to seeing more things fromt he scene.

yeh pony there is a lens there, i moved it forward today
you'll see it with things around and real lighting

ohwell got onto a mental chair thing wasnt in the original design but i think im changing that so heres progress:
