Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Soil pushed back when plant is growing

I have a plant animation that breaks through soil (a closeup shot too) and I need a method to animate some soil to be pushed back when the stem of the plant breaks through. Any ideas to create a seamless dirt that matches the dirt in the footage to push back for the growing plant?

You could yse particles, or map the soil onto a softbody plane and have that interacting with the plant stem.

Thanks! I did the soft body technique and I don't know how to keep the soft body "sift" instead of wavy.
