Splash Damage - Art Test

Hi everybody.

Going for a new job at Splash Damage and I have to do a art test for it.

Basically I have to build this

user added image

With 20,000 Tri`s fully textured and add my own personal touch to it. - Now here`s the thing.

20,000 tri`s - I have built the whole thing in just over 4,000 which is really making me wonder is low poly really low poly any more ??? - I mean I have even started being my own bits on to the scene and think there is quite abit of detail on there. Maybe its just me. Anyway I know this is going to be mostly down to the texturing but here is my W.I.P on the model so far

I think "low poly" is now a relative term. Looking good so far.

Cool! tileable user added image
I found some as well for the last challenge but I remember having trouble with the size... I needed it torn up anyway so I couldn't use a tileable texture...
Thanks anyway...
Benny

But yeah, what kind of limit is 20,000? What could you do with all of those? meh, I like good ol' fashioned N64 polycounts, you know?
