Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Thats looking better. How did you do those details (ornamental?)on the fence?

Did you use the create polygon tool ?

I used the cv curve tool to draw the shapes then used a nurbs circle to extrude along the curve then converted the nurbs geo to poly.

I not douting that this looks cool but the wing are confusing me.

At the moment they look organic, but yet the rest of the body looks machical.

I think if your going for a mix then I think you`ll need to make afew parts look organic.

If not then the wings need to change.

As I said it looks really cool and your doing a great job
(looks like a winner 2 me), but organic parts dont work for me.

but its yer model.

Thankyou gster and Coldwave , glad you like it user added image

Tweety I know what you mean ,I still can't make my mind up whether to leave them be and make them a little more non organic material in texturing or to actually model some mechanical features on the wings.
These are just my first creation and they might well get modified over the next few days.

Still lots to do before i can call it finished.

The wings looks great to me. Just give them metalic look when we get to part II - texturing.
Awsome amount of details, and prety cool design.

Keep it up, this is, in my homble opinion, so far, the best work here. user added image :attn:

Great render. You could animate the wings and give them a motion blur. user added image
