Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Yet Another Maya 8 problem

Ok, I've sort of fixed the CV editing problem with NURBS in maya 8, although it doesn't work exactly as it should (CVs only work when highlighted, and it is kind of finicky.)
But anyway, I've ran into a new problem: with two NURBS shapes, if I try to boolean difference them, it does nothing. For the most part, boolean difference works with polygons, but not at all with NURBS. Another odd thing is that with the NURBS, after the operation is attempted and fails, both shapes will remain selected and cannot be unselected. How could Autodesk put out such a buggy product? I've had an unbelievable amount of problems with v.8. Anyone know when some sort of big patch is coming out?
