Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Not much to update really, being laying out the UV's for him before going to Zbrush.

Left my tablet at work though so I'll have to p[op in and get it as I'm on holiday at the moment.

Cheers Guys, Thanks for the comments.

Just gathering some ref for the sculpt now, looking towards Larry King and David Frost for a bit of a idea for the creases etc...

Should be fun!

looks really cool man, the eyes are pretty creepy lol

the body looks a little flat to me though, i know burns is skinny but i think he needs a little more shape to him, other than that it's great, cant wait to see it textureduser added image

Cheers guys,

Got him into Z now and been having a play about with what I'm going to do, just been mainly working on getting some lumps and bumps in there and seeing where wrinkels will fit and go.

Dont want to go too OTT with em otherwise he'll look like a goblin or something!

cheers Hammer, Its just one of the gonomon ones, it is a lovely shader as it alows you to see nice an subtle details that might be swamped with some others.

I generally use it at this point then when texturing I'll swap over to the std material then use a skin shader with transluscancy to see what it will possibly look like in Maya with SSS, though its not 100%
