ahhhh wired render glitches need quick help!

hi,

I'm rendering a scene in MR with final gather, I use a simple sss shader and two directional lights. The hoop displayed below is apoly object I extruded using two circles. The main circle has a twist deformer applied to it so my hoop deforms.
Now on a couple of frames I get these wired rendering glitches like in the image. I get an error message in the command line

"// Warning: (Mayatomr.Scene) : hoopShape: shapes are not equivalent, no motion vectors computed // "

I'm a bit helpless with this one and I got to deliver the project tomorrow, so the situation is real bad,
Any help greatly appreciated

Good luck m8.

Well obvoiusly the issue lies with the hoopShape geometry in the scene (which is the helix shaped object).

Maybe it was the way that Motion Blur that has been added to the scene. TBH, I think it was the way the geo was created that caused this warning. I take it motion blur was required for the project?

The only other way around it would have been to render 2 images, one in MR and one as a SW render and composite.

I have had a look on the web and the error you report only seems to point to an issue with MR and Motion Blur on certain bits of geo. I take it you did the basics of deleting history on the objects, before to did the convertion?

hey r@nsid

thanks for that I did get around my problem eventually, but it was very tedious and boooooring, -and it required to stay up till stupid 'o clock in the morning. But it's all good now

I'll look into that wired error today and try to understand what happened
