Yeah, congrats from me too Mike! It's a joy to have you as part of SM. It wouldn't be the same without you.

Hey Kurt, Not much. I've been indulging in one of my other hobbies for awhile—building guitar amps/vintage pro audio gear—just finished my first project - a 36w amplifier...sounds killer! Here are a couple pics:

Slowly getting drawn back into 3D (I blame it on some of the animated shorts at ringling's site)...whenever I start having a midlife crisis about my careerpath, 3D comes a calling..haha...Now if only I showed some natural talent at some aspect of it!! Anyway, I picked up one of those cheap and simple Christopher Hart books on drawing retro-styled cartoons...something quick and dirty to help to at least draw reference sheets for that type of character (ala "incredibles", dean yeagle, etc). That's the style I'm into and want to persue for personal projects...if I can ever get my head/face modeling down. Aside from that, I have some other "real-world" pieces I want to script along the lines of using 3D to teach how something works. It'd make a good portfolio piece if anything.

How are things with you? Looks like you've been cranking out a mad amount of videos!!

Pete
