This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
is there anyway to make a legit crashing wave like u would find on the beach like shore break.? or waves to animate a surfer? i've tweaked with lots of the ocean attributes and none seem to do what i want..
The ocean shader is based on displacementshaders, so that probably wont work, you could try Ncloth turn on liquid simulation and emit particles for the splashing water ( I am no expert in dynamics though so better wait for a better reply )
Short answer, no, there's no real easy way to do this that I know of. You could check out realflow, which is designed for things such as this, but it costs a fair bit.
