Texturing a head

Here is the problem i faced

OK i unwrap it , get it into Photoshop and get a free texture of human face place it ... and then go back into maya , and move UV-s to match the texture ? Is it that right way user added image

p.s I can't paint well... / My first attempt to texture head ...

Not sure but it could be that your UV layout in certain spots distorted the faces in a way that they don't match their proportions on your actual model hence the warping.

I'm guessing its because the face texture you got does not have a view of behind the ears, you could clone some other parts of the face and put that into your texture.

Move the textue to meet the UV map not adjusting it in maya.

Your UV map should be nicely laid wout with minimal stretching/compression and go from there.
