Polygon circle cut in half
Vertices pulled a bit, then smoothed once for image.

Started on the neck to give you an idea.
Cut away unwanted faces and pulled them in and out to simulate a bit of muscle.

Still very basic

I only started all this a few weeks ago and already I have tried about 16 different methods to do a head :/

It takes a few months before you become comfortable with Maya.
Iv'e Just pushed the 6 month mark.

Hmmm, quite interesting.. it has quite a different figure.. very deformed (in a good way).. i could see this becoming a really gruesome demon.. keep it up! Anyways, yea, looking good so far user added image.

like the stuff mapped onto the arch - bricks are really nicely contoured - now ya just have to do something about that gut of his... looks a little like his butt is on backwards! looking forward to the development user added image

What I have in mind is a crouching demon sneaking through the gates. (Errrrrrrrrr I havn't made them yetuser added image )
One side of the gate will represent our world, and the other, Hades.

Still needs a bit more refining. I.E handle, hinges etc.
Maybe add a miniture dragon to replace one of the balls.
